It has three, RIAÑO 3xTRAIL RUN (3 stages), RIAÑO 2xTRAIL RUN (2 stages) and RIAÑO 1xTRAIL RUN (1 stage).
The RIAÑO TRAIL RUN has a very new and attractive format since the race can be done in two modalities: Individual or by teams of two runners.
The RIAÑO 2xTrail Run and Riaño 1xTrail Run is exclusively individual.
The RIAÑO 3xTRAIL RUN has 200 bibs in total, which are divided into individual bibs and teams of two runners. The RIAÑO 2xTRAIL RUN has 200 bibs in total and RIAÑO 1xTRAIL RUN has 100 bibs in total.
At 8:15 a.m. on Friday, June 26 in the town of Oseja de Sajambre.
At 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27 in the town of Valverde de la Sierra.
At 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 28 in the town of Riaño.
There are 84 kms with 5,414 meters of positive vertical drop and 5,712 meters of negative vertical drop.
There are 47.7 kms with 3,070 meters of positive vertical drop and 3,070 meters of negative vertical drop.

The first stage will start from Oseja de Sajambre we will ascend to Vegabaño passing through Soto de Sajambre. From there we will go through the summit of Frade, Vega de Llós and descend through the forest of Farfada towards Cordiñanes to reach the Mirador del Tombo. Once there we will start the ascent through the Capozo channel, Puertos de Cuba and descend through the Mesones channel to reach Caín de Valdeón, heart of the Picos de Europa National Park.
The second stage will start from the Palencia mining basin, specifically from Valverde de la Sierra. From this town the itinerary ascends towards the Espigüete Peak continuing through the summits of the Natural Park of Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente Cobre.
The route takes the last kilometers towards Valverde de la Sierra on the way back.
The third stage will start from the town of Riaño. From here we will head to Carande and its mythological path. Afterwards, we will descend to Horcadas and from here we will go up to Pico Gilbo to descend again to the town of Riaño, where the finish line will be located.
The maximum time to complete the tour is 10 hours.
Stage 2 has a maximum time of 6 hours.
Stage 3 has a maximum time of 6 hours.
No, the presentation of a medical certificate is optional in its three modalities.
All the runners of the RIAÑO TRAIL RUN, without exception, must make sure to bring the following material in order to be able to run the race:
Individual and Team Modality:
Mobile phone: With fully charged battery and turned on during the entire race.
Thermal blanket: Minimum surface (1.4 x 2 m)
Whistle.
Glass for liquid refreshment: In the refreshment posts will not be provided glasses for the replenishment of liquids.
Windbreaker jacket
Containers and/or watertight bags for liquids: With a minimum total capacity of 1.5L.
The bib is collected at the RIAÑO CAMP, (Riaño soccer field).

To collect your bib number you will need an official identification document (ID card or passport) and a federation licence if you are a member of the federation.
The bib is personal and non-transferable. In the event that the race bib holder is unable to collect the bib, it may be collected by a third person on presentation of authorisation and a photocopy of the bib holder’s ID card.
The bibs must always be clearly visible on the abdominal part throughout the race.

Checkroom hours are 1 hour before departure.
The wardrobe will be located at the start line. The backpack will be delivered there.
It is not necessary, the organisation will deliver the backpacks already identified, which must be handed in at the wardrobe.
It is compulsory to show your bib number in order to hand in your backpacks and it is advisable to carry an official identification document.
The boxes open 30 minutes before the start of the race. At that time, chip verification and equipment checks will begin.

The RIAÑO TRAIL RUN has a companion program for those who want to experience the race from the inside. This companion program consists of accommodation and full board at the RIAÑO CAMP from Thursday to Sunday (* same conditions as runners).
The number of companions is limited to 1 companion per runner and they have to sleep in the same tent as their companion.
All companions who do not contract the companion program will not be able to access the RIAÑO CAMP.

The Riaño Trail Camp is the base camp where the runners and the organization will stay during the course of the race. The camp is located in the soccer field of Riaño and consists of tents provided by the organization. The Riaño Camp has all the necessary services to have a comfortable and unforgettable experience (WC, showers, dining room, etc).
NO. The price varies according to the pack and can be contracted with the registration. It includes accommodation in an individual tent for two people from Thursday, June 9 to Monday, June 13. Full board from Thursday dinner to Sunday lunch. Does NOT include inflatable mattress for the tent (price 15€).
No. RIAÑO CAMP will be closed to the public and to all vehicles. It is not allowed to park cars and/or caravans inside the campsite. The runner can sleep in his caravan/van as long as it is parked outside the RIAÑO CAMP.
The RIAÑO TRAIL RUN has a timing and tracking system where you can follow live the course of the race. In addition, in the social networks of the race will be published live information of the race.
The general public can access through the race website the evolution of the head of the race through the control points and the entrance of the participants to the finish line. Thanks to the integration of the timing system with the ranking management software, we can share the results of the event in real time both at the finish area and on the internet.
No. Registration is personal and non-transferable.
Yes, you can change the bib name up to 15 days before the event, as long as the bibs are not sold out and there is no waiting list. The administration fee is €5.
The change of modality is valid as long as it is done before the closing date of registration and there are bibs available in the modality of the change. If you change to a lower category, the difference will be credited minus a €3 administration fee. If you wish to change to a higher category, you can do so as long as there are still bibs available, you will have to pay the difference.
The organisation has a civil liability insurance policy in accordance with current legislation.
